Audit & Accounts Senior – £40k-£50k – Borehamwood – Hybrid

A well‑established and growing accountancy practice based in Borehamwood is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part‑qualified ACA / ACCA professional seeking a varied role within a supportive and professional environment.

The firm works with a broad range of SME and owner‑managed business clients across multiple sectors and offers strong long‑term progression opportunities. Following successful completion of probation, the role will offer hybrid working with 2 days per week working from home.

The Role

This is a mixed audit and accounts position with responsibilities including:

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
  • Assisting managers and partners with client work and ad‑hoc projects
  • Reviewing and supporting junior staff where required
  • Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong relationships
  • Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines
  • Supporting both audit and accounts compliance work across the portfolio

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
  • Experience in both audit and accounts preparation
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or part‑qualified status
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • The ability to manage workloads and work effectively within a team
