Position: Trust Estates Manager, Permanent – required July 2026
Salary: Grade I (Point 28 – 31) £39,153 – £41,772
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year – Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (30‑minute lunch); Friday: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (30‑minute lunch)

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, proactive and well‑organised individual to the role of Trust Estates Manager, working across our four primary schools in Canford Heath. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site manager, caretaker or estates professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The role includes hands‑on site responsibility alongside wider estates duties and involves being part of the locking and unlocking rota. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining safe, secure and welcoming environments for our school communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Trust Estates team to ensure the school sites are safe, secure and welcoming for children, staff and visitors
- Be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, appearance and presentation of the school buildings and grounds on a daily basis
- Take a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring policies, procedures and statutory requirements are followed consistently
- Undertake and oversee general maintenance and site works to a high standard
- Coordinate and oversee estates services and external contractors to ensure consistent standards are met across the sites
- Be responsible for locking and unlocking routines and the overall security of the school grounds
- Work closely with school leaders, colleagues and contractors to support the smooth running of the schools
- Be committed to raising and maintaining high standards across all areas of the school estate
Qualifications & Experience
- Are keen, reliable, well‑organised and hardworking
- Work effectively as part of a team and can use initiative when working independently
- Bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role
- Have experience or practical skills in general maintenance, facilities or craftsmanship
- Have a practical, can‑do attitude to problem solving
- Are prepared to go above and beyond to support the school community
- Have resilience and stamina for a busy and varied role
