Job Summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic staff nurse in Orthopaedic Outpatients to join our team for 22.5 hours per week.

Working with a wide range of patients with trauma and orthopaedic issues. Working alongside a MDT to run clinics, provide orthopaedic advice, treatments and wound care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview for this position will be held in person ONLY at the hospital site. Remote interviews will not be available.
  • Check validity of Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN before shortlisting. Inaccuracies in NMC PIN details will result in application not being progressed.
  • Provide wound care.
  • Fit orthopaedic appliances.
  • Provide patient advice.
  • Ensure smooth running of orthopaedic clinics.
  • Provide basic patient care.
  • Work in a team and solo.
  • Undertake training in radiation/IRMER.
  • Clinic preparation.
  • Independently manage cross‑site work at both York Hospital, Wigginton Road Site and Clifton Park Chapel clinic sites.
  • Support informal discussions with Recruiting Manager as encouraged.
