Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic ST1–5 level doctor to join the Infectious Diseases and Microbiology research team in Bristol as a Clinical Research Fellow. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to high‑profile commercial and academic infection studies within a growing and nationally recognised research programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the delivery of commercial and academic clinical trials, supporting participant recruitment, study reviews, and research governance activities.
- Contribute to service development and gain experience in trial delivery.
- Develop an independent project alongside ongoing studies (if appropriate experience).
- Provide cross‑cover across sites and support flexibility for research development opportunities and clinical experience.
Contract Details
The post is initially offered for 6 months, with a likely extension to 12 months subject to funding confirmation early in the appointment. Interviews are anticipated in late May 2026 with the post commencing August 2026. Flexible working is supported.
About the Team and Sites
Clinical trials are delivered between Southmead Hospital and the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The post holder will work across both sites, based in the Learning and Research Centre at Southmead Hospital and working in partnership with colleagues at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
