We are seeking a skilled, compassionate ADHD Specialist Nurse to join our specialist ADHD team on a full‑time basis. This is far more than a traditional nursing role – you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, preventative health services, and supporting innovation in primary care.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to expand our specialist ADHD team by recruiting an experienced ADHD Specialist Nurse. Our ADHD team is a multi-professional team whose main focus is the assessment and treatment of adults presenting with ADHD symptoms. The primary focus of the team is to provide high quality, ADHD assessments and treatment. The postholder will conduct ADHD assessments for adults accessing the service and conduct regular medication reviews for a caseload of adults, with monitoring of treatment response. The postholder will be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and also work autonomously and exercise a very high level of clinical expertise. She/he must also possess expertise in the assessment of ADHD and be able to evidence delivery of a similar role elsewhere.
Our service model is mainly virtual whereby patients are assessed and managed using video and telephone consultations. A laptop and appropriate mobile working equipment will be provided.

Qualifications
- Registered as a mental health practitioner with professional qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Current registration with NMC or HCPC without restriction.
Experience
- Ability to demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with the post.
- Portfolio which provides evidence of experience of working in ADHD services, including experience in cross discipline and cross boundary working.
- Significant post‑qualifying clinical experience obtained in a variety of settings.
- Demonstrates significant experience in the assessment and risk management of complex cases.
Personal Qualities
- Professional and responsible approach to work.
- Polite, confident, and effective telephone manner.
- Strong team player who works well with others.
- Smart, professional appearance at all times.
- Exercises tact and discretion in all situations.
