Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Addictions to provide specialist pharmaceutical advice, medicines governance input and direct clinical care to patients, such as those at high risk from polypharmacy. This post will assist with the delivery of a number of the Medication Assisted Treatment standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide direct clinical care and develop and lead the development of HSCP pharmacy services in Addictions. Previous experience of management and service development would be ideal.
Candidate Profile
You will have relevant experience of pharmacy practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills. You will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual, eager to contribute to patient care and service development.
Qualifications
You will have a Master’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy, experience of primary care, good clinical skills and be an independent prescriber. Travel Requirements
The post will involve travelling to a number of locations, so a full, current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential.
Additional Information
- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
