What You’ll Be Doing

As our Workshop Controller, you will split your time between leading our brand‑new workshop operations and stepping onto the floor for hands‑on mechanical work when required:

  • Manage daily workshop flow, allocate jobs, delegate tasks to technicians, and oversee strict quality control.
  • Handle end‑to‑end manufacturer and internal warranty claims accurately.
  • Step in to assist the team with vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs during peak times.
  • Ensure all tablet‑based digital job cards and vehicle health checks (VHC) are completed efficiently.
  • Drive workshop productivity and efficiency while maintaining strict health and safety compliance.

What We Need

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Workshop Mechanic ready for the next step in their career.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) with strong diagnostic skills.
  • Management Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a team, coordinate workflow, and handle vehicle warranty claims.
  • Compliance: A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
  • Mindset: A natural leader who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in a busy, professional environment.
