Location: Dronfield
Salary: £35,800 + Pension + Overtime + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am‑4pm

My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist tooling-based products with a 100‑year history. Their Dronfield site is expanding and seeking a mechanical maintenance engineer to support medium‑to‑heavy machinery operations.
Key Skills
- Apprentice trained engineer in mechanical engineering
- Experience in a heavy/CNC environment
- Understanding of PPM systems
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day maintenance for a range of heavy equipment, including:
- Servo motors, Fanuc spindle drives, hydraulic presses, furnaces, overhead cranes, and thermocouples
- General mechanical work as required
- Operating, maintaining, and servicing machinery to the highest standards
- Participating in training to broaden skills and knowledge
Qualifications
Required:
- Mechanical engineering background or apprenticeship
- Time‑served engineer with a mechanical bias
- Experience in CNC machinery environments
