My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist tooling-based products with a 100‑year history. Their Dronfield site is expanding and seeking a mechanical maintenance engineer to support medium‑to‑heavy machinery operations.

Key Skills

  • Apprentice trained engineer in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in a heavy/CNC environment
  • Understanding of PPM systems

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day maintenance for a range of heavy equipment, including:

  • Servo motors, Fanuc spindle drives, hydraulic presses, furnaces, overhead cranes, and thermocouples
  • General mechanical work as required
  • Operating, maintaining, and servicing machinery to the highest standards
  • Participating in training to broaden skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Required:

  • Mechanical engineering background or apprenticeship
  • Time‑served engineer with a mechanical bias
  • Experience in CNC machinery environments
