Salary & Working Hours
Salary: £44,142, plus a concessionary payment of £2,758 and £6,250 London weighting. You may additionally be eligible for a skills payment ranging from £4,513 to £9,812 and a recruitment bonus of £2,000, subject to technical ability and successful assessment during the interview process.
The role is full‑time, 36 hours per week, with flexibility around start and finish times within core working hours. Hybrid working is available, typically one day per week from home and the remainder in the office.
Role Overview
As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you will help keep the UK safe by ensuring secure access to sensitive systems. Your work ensures that the right people have the right access at the right time, supporting the organisation and partners across the UK and worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage user accounts, resolve access and certificate issues, and monitor platform health to maintain compliance and reliability.
- Support day‑to‑day identity operations, including incident resolution and service requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define access requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to product development and roadmap planning for identity services.
- Deliver training and share knowledge on secure access practices.
- Occasional travel to Cheltenham and Manchester; limited international travel.
Qualifications
- Infrastructure background with practical experience in Windows or Linux environments.
- Core skills in Active Directory; familiarity with Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and awareness of emerging technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- British citizenship or dual British nationality.
- Successful completion of vetting and compliance with the no‑drugs policy.
