Overview
Staffline are hiring for a Field Service Engineer – Security Systems installer. This is a new, permanent vacancy. 4 day week (Monday–Thursday) with weekends off. Company vehicle and tools provided. The role involves installation, maintenance and support of security systems for commercial and residential clients across England & Wales.
Please note: This role is for an experienced engineer who has experience installing and maintaining security systems including CCTV, intruder alarms and access control. A DBS check is required due to the nature of the business. You will hold a full, clean UK driving licence. You will be over 25 years of age due to vehicle insurance. You will be required to travel to commercial & residential customers in England & Wales.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and service CCTV and intruder alarms.
- First fix and second fix cabling (cat, coax and multi-core), containment, terminations and labelling.
- Configure NVR/DVR, IP cameras, PoE switches, alarm panels, keypads, expanders and peripherals.
- IP addressing, VLAN/PoE awareness, port-forwarding and remote access.
- Test, fault find, and fix issues.
- Communicate clearly with customers and clients, provide demos and usage information.
- Record works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in installing and servicing security systems.
- CSCS/ECS, IPAF or other site safety certifications.
- Experience working with one or more of the following: Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Axis, Ajax, Texecom, Honeywell, Paxton, etc.
- Strong understanding of low voltage electrics, safe isolation, test equipment, and site safety.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varied environments.
- Able to work independently on small jobs and lead/coordinate on larger installations.
- Professional communication and tidy workmanship.
Salary depends on experience.
