Automotive Parts Advisor – Build & Lead New Department

Location: Linwood, PA1 (Renfrewshire)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (flexibility required)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor on behalf of a growing transport and logistics business in Linwood. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a newly created parts department and play a key role in shaping its future.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to move beyond a standard Parts Advisor role and take on real responsibility, including building processes, managing suppliers, and helping develop a future team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop a new parts department
  • Source and order HGV and trailer parts
  • Manage stock control and inventory accuracy
  • Build strong supplier relationships
  • Support workshop and fleet maintenance teams
  • Implement efficient processes and systems
  • Assist with future team growth and development

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor (automotive, HGV or commercial preferred)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle parts and supply chains
  • Organised, proactive and commercially minded
  • Confident communicator with good relationship‑building skills
  • Experience with HGV/trailer/fleet environments desirable
