The Role

The Business Solutions Consultant plays a key role in delivering high quality Oracle Fusion HCM solutions to clients across a range of industries. This role combines functional expertise, strong communication skills, and hands‑on collaboration with offshore delivery teams to design, prototype, and refine effective HCM solutions. The Consultant supports the full lifecycle of solution design, from requirements exploration through to testing and customer playback.

  • Deliver customer facing workshops to demonstrate Oracle Fusion HCM capabilities, including both “blank sheet” solutions and Odyssea industry specific offerings.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, analyse business needs, and identify solution gaps or areas requiring configuration or enhancement.
  • Translate customer requirements into functional design specifications and collaborate closely with offshore delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely build.
  • Conduct unit testing of configured solutions, document findings, and provide structured feedback to offshore teams.
  • Support iterative prototype cycles, preparing materials and participating in customer playback sessions.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, solution templates, and best practice documentation.
  • Assist with cutover planning, data validation, and early life support activities as required.

Location & Commitments

  • Permanent contract
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Remote/hybrid working location, but depending on where you live, you will have a base location at our head office in Langstone, Wales or at our satellite office in Guildford, Surrey
  • Travel will be required to our offices and client sites as the project requires. If you are successful for this position you will be expected to travel as necessary, which may include overnight stays away from your home location
  • Standard Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including Disclosure Barring Scotland (DBS) is a minimum requirement for all roles. This will be completed as part of pre‑employment checks by de Novo’s third party supplier Credence. Security Clearance (SC) may also be required; where this is not held candidates must be willing to go through this process

Person Specification | Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of core human resources business processes (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance, compensation, absence, payroll interfaces).
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion HCM is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn and upskill quickly is important.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen, interpret, and articulate requirements clearly.
  • Ability to explain solution options in a structured and customer friendly way.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfortable working with offshore delivery teams and coordinating activities remotely.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.

The Role
