Key Responsibilities
As our Export Sales Manager, you will own full responsibility for your markets. That means you will:
- Have regular contact with our global customers ensuring our whisky gets from our warehouses into whisky glasses all around the world.
- Join a sales team of three people where you can make an impact.
- Have full P&L responsibility for your markets.
- Plan sales and performance ensuring your market partners have the products and knowledge to succeed with our brands.
- Develop the local marketing strategies alongside our marketing team.
- Activate the brands in global markets with robust brand plans and well‑planned market visits.
About you
You are entrepreneurial by nature: ambitious, proactive, and energised by responsibility. You enjoy shaping structures where none exists yet, and you thrive in an environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
You bring
- A passion for sales, targets and profit.
- Proven experience with 3–5+ years in export sales or international brand management within premium spirits (Scotch whisky experience strongly preferred).
- Commercial skills with a proven track record of growing distribution networks, negotiating contracts, and delivering volume/margin targets.
- Self‑direction, a proactive “can‑do” attitude and ability to get involved in the many varied tasks required for the role.
- Communication skills and are an articulate presenter and relationship‑builder.
- An analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to forecasting, market prioritisation and performance management.
- Languages – relevant languages advantageous.
- A desire to travel extensively (25%+) to export markets and to the distillery in Fife.
Location
Office based (Glasgow) – with travel to export markets and our distillery in Fife. Flexibility is key to success in our business, and our staff work flexibly in many ways, including location.
