Overview

We are looking for an External Sales Representative / Area Sales Manager for our client, who operates a network of branches across the UK. The business supplies a wide range of timber, landscaping, and building products to the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Management and growth of existing client relationships
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Luton and surrounding area
• Represent the company externally and promote construction supplies products
• Leverage knowledge of the contractor, house builder, builder and end‑user market to drive sales

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a sales role within the construction supplies or building materials sector (e.g., builders’ merchants, timber merchants or distributors)
• Builder’s merchant background required to hit the ground running
• Strong sales drive, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Customer‑focused with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with the route to market for contractors, house builders, builders and end‑users
