Senior Administration Officer – FTC

Contract: 9‑month fixed‑term, 35 hours per week (Monday‑Friday), home‑based with monthly face‑to‑face meetings in London and surrounding counties.

Location & Salary

London & South East region. Salary: £25,101 per annum + £750 Home Working Allowance + £4,184 London weighting (if eligible), prorated for the 9‑month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an administration service to the London & South‑East region to help meet the service objectives of increased foster carer recruitment.
  • Organise and prepare all panel papers for approvals and reviews.
  • Minute panels and prepare ADM paperwork.
  • Maintain timely and accurate record keeping on Charms, the in‑house database.
  • Respond to telephone calls and allocate them to staff as appropriate; take messages and ensure they are passed on.
  • Communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues, carers and third‑party agencies, establishing professional working relationships focused on the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Work flexibly and autonomously to manage time and duties.

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a busy administrative setting in a social care‑related field.
  • Ability to obtain, extract and analyse information from various systems.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook & OneDrive.
  • Experience with software systems to record, retrieve and maintain records.
  • Excellent communication skills to suit a broad range of professional relationships.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy and flexibility, sometimes dealing with conflicting priorities.
  • Familiarity with handling confidential and sensitive information in line with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Creative, resourceful, compassionate and committed, with a strong sense of enthusiasm and drive.
  • Evidence of understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and anti‑discriminatory practices.
  • Enhanced DBS / PVG (processed by TACT).

Travel & Working Conditions

Home‑based role. Required to attend monthly face‑to‑face meetings and other occasional meetings in London and surrounding counties; additional travel for training, team and carer events.
