Site Engineer – 7/8 Week Contract – Scotland & North East
We’re currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to support multiple infrastructure project sites across Scotland and the North East on a short-term paternity cover contract.
This role would suit a strong all-round engineer comfortable working across live site environments, supporting quality documentation, lift planning activities, and occasional setting out duties.
Rate: £350–£400 per day (Inside IR35)
Locations:
- Wooler
- Simprim
- Haddington
- Rhynd (Perth)
- Charlestown (Dunfermline)
- Pettinain (Lanark)
Start Date: 1st June
⏳ Duration: 7–8 Weeks
Candidates based around Fife / Kinross / Central Scotland would be ideally located for travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ WC Quality Check Sheets
✔ Supporting Lift Plans & lifting activities
✔ Site engineering support
✔ Occasional setting out
✔ Site documentation & compliance
✔ Liaising with site teams & subcontractors
Requirements:
- Previous Site Engineer experience within civils or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of quality documentation
- Experience supporting Lift Plans
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Able to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
- AutoCAD experience
- Setting out experience
- Utilities or infrastructure background
