- Own the manufacturing process for your assigned programs to ensure smooth production
- Represent Engineering in daily operations meetings and help drive resolution of actions
- Provide cost estimates and technical input for customer quotations
- Monitor project costs and work to stay within targets
- Use your experience to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times
- Solve production issues using tools like 8D or DMAIC
- Program CNC machines (multi-axis, mill-turn, turning) using CAM software (Hypermill, MasterCam)
- Design fixtures and tooling using CAD (preferably Siemens NX)
- Create in-process documentation and prints
- Work closely with Planning, Quality, Production and customers
What We’re Looking For From a CAD/CAM Application Engineer:
- Strong background in CNC programming and machining (5-axis)
- Experience with CAM systems such as Hypermill, Mastercam, or Vericut
- CAD experience, ideally Siemens NX
- Solid understanding of Lean principles and process optimisation
- Confident with GD&T and reading technical drawings
- Familiarity with ERP systems (creating BOMs, routings, item masters)
Qualifications
- Working towards or holds degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
