A leading international legal and professional services organisation is seeking an Associate to join its Regeneration, Development & Infrastructure team based in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded real estate solicitor looking to work on complex infrastructure, utilities, regeneration, and energy-related projects within a collaborative and highly regarded national practice.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of commercial real estate and infrastructure matters, supporting major development and utility projects across both public and private sector clients. The role offers exposure to high-quality transactional work and the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property agreements including leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and acquisition documentation
  • Advising on land rights, title issues, and due diligence matters
  • Supporting land assembly and access arrangements for infrastructure and utility projects
  • Negotiating third-party rights and consents
  • Advising on infrastructure agreements and land access strategies for energy and development projects
  • Assisting with legal project management and transaction delivery

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should be:

  • Qualified solicitors in England & Wales with 3+ years PQE
  • Experienced in commercial real estate matters with exposure to infrastructure, utilities, regeneration, or energy-related work
  • Strong technical drafters and negotiators
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and complex transactions
  • Familiar with statutory undertaker rights and land law issues
  • Experienced working with public sector bodies or regulated industries (desirable)
