A busy civil engineering contractor employing approximately 80 staff, the company delivering works across public and private sector contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who can support and improve the companys Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards while helping develop and maintain ISO accredited management systems throughout the business. Key Responsibilities Promote and maintain a positive health & safety culture across all company operations Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks on live road and construction projects Prepare RAMS, safety documentation, toolbox talks, and site reports Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented Ensure compliance with all current Northern Ireland health & safety legislation and industry standards Assist with implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO management systems including: – ISO 9001 Quality Management – ISO 14001 Environmental Management – ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Support management during external audits and accreditation processes Work closely with operational staff, supervisors, mechanics, and management teams to improve compliance and performance Deliver safety briefings and assist with staff training and inductions Monitor subcontractor compliance and documentation Essential Requirements NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification Minimum 3 years experience in a SHEQ / Health & Safety role within construction & civils Good understanding of ISO standards and compliance systems Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation Excellent communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and across multiple live sites Desirable Requirements Experience working within highways or civil engineering sectors Internal Auditor qualification CSCS / CSR card Experience implementing ISO systems throughout a business Temporary Traffic Management awareness For more information on this SHEQ Advisor in Lisburn position please contact Katie McGonigle on or email Skills: NEBOSH SHEQ / Health & Safety Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle Company pension Training and professional development Long-term career progression Supportive management team and varied project work
