MPA Healthcare are recruiting on Behalf of our Client Apex Housing for the following role: Residential worker complex needs-Belmont Cottages. This is a full time temporary ongoing role.
Role Responsibilities :
To respect and promote the rights and entitlements of people with learning disabilities and complex needs, and to enable them to participate as fully as possible in their communities.
To be responsive to the individual needs of service users within the framework of their Person Centred Plans and to respond flexibly to changing needs.
To be able to effectively manage a large frequency of incidents involving adults who display complex needs (mental health issues, physical disabilities, and varying levels of challenging behaviours).
To be able to effectively manage service users who may display severe learning disabilities combined with serious challenging behaviour and/or additional multiple disability and/or mental health issues.
To effectively support people who express their frustrations and needs through challenging behaviour by using appropriate strategies and intervention frameworks as specified by the Person Centred Plan.
To work within agreed management protocols and guidelines for individuals with complex needs.
Conduct Health and Safety Audits as required.
Essential Criteria :
QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a support role working with adults with learning difficulties AND challenging behaviour in a community/residential setting.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
An Enhanced Access NI disclosure will be required for this post
Have previous administration experience.
OR
A minimum of 2 year’s experience in a support role working with adults with learning difficulties AND challenging behaviour in a community/residential setting.
Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
Have previous administration experience.
And
Above experience must demonstrate the use of IT and the provision of administrative support to include regulatory, scheme and resident reports.
Desirable Criteria :
QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
ECDL/CLAIT/or alternative equivalent computer literacy certificate.
