Casual Fitness Instructor – Larne

Location: Larne Casual / On-Call £13.69 per hour

We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Casual Fitness Instructors to join our team in Larne on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a dynamic leisure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prescribe exercise programmes for new and existing customers, including advice on diet and lifestyle
• Work with a range of clients, including GP Referral, Special Needs, and Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation participants (where appropriately qualified)
• Conduct inductions and fitness assessments for members as required
• Deliver excellent customer service, handling enquiries, queries, and complaints professionally
• Promote memberships and services, including conducting tours of the fitness suite
• Support member retention and engagement through motivation and proactive follow-up
• Promote events, activities, and facilities within the Leisure Centre
• Carry out daily safety checks on fitness equipment and report defects
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the fitness suite
• Ensure the safety of equipment and facilities, carrying out minor repairs where necessary
• Participate in training and development activities and attend staff meetings
• Deliver coaching sessions and activity programmes in line with qualifications
• Monitor access to the facility and handle receipts and admissions where required

Essential Criteria:

• A recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (e.g. REPs Level II, OCR Level II, GNVQ Level II, Gayton, or equivalent)
• Minimum of six months’ experience working in a fitness suite or similar environment
