Role Description
This is a senior leadership role focused on helping shape and scale the firm’s liquid fund distribution business across the UK and Europe.
The successful candidate will work closely with the founder and senior leadership team to expand the firm’s distribution footprint across traditional long-only and liquid alternative strategies, deepen relationships with existing asset manager clients and help define the long-term strategy for the European liquid funds business.
The role is ideally suited to someone entrepreneurial who wants the opportunity to help build and shape a growing platform, rather than operate within a highly siloed large organisation. This individual will be expected to act as a senior representative of the firm within the market and, over time, take ownership of key client relationships, strategic initiatives and broader European distribution activity for our liquid managers.
The role would ideally be based in London, although we are open to candidates based elsewhere in Europe for the right individual.
Compensation
We offer a competitive fixed base salary alongside significant long-term upside linked to both personal asset raising performance and the overall growth and success of the firm’s liquid funds distribution business. The structure is designed to strongly align incentives and reward individuals who are capable of building meaningful long-term client relationships, contributing strategically to the platform and helping scale the broader European business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the expansion of the firm’s liquid funds distribution business across the UK and European markets
- Raise assets directly from institutional and wholesale investors across the candidate’s existing network
- Develop and deepen relationships with Wealth Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices, Multi-Managers, Independent Asset Managers and other relevant allocator groups
- Act as a strategic partner to existing asset manager clients, helping advise on positioning, market strategy and distribution priorities
- Help oversee and develop the broader liquid funds distribution effort within the business
- Work closely with senior leadership on overall strategy, growth initiatives and market expansion
- Represent the firm and its clients at senior levels across the investment management industry
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s European platform and long-term growth strategy
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in asset management distribution and business development, with particular experience across traditional long-only strategies, liquid alternatives and broader UCITS structures.
Candidates should possess an established network across UK and European allocators and be comfortable operating in a highly entrepreneurial and commercially driven environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable track record raising assets within UK and European markets
- Strong existing relationships across investor groups including Wealth Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices, Multi-Managers and Independent Asset Managers
- Significant experience within asset management distribution, fund sales or third-party marketing
- Broad understanding of UCITS frameworks, European distribution models and relevant regulatory considerations
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and commercial opportunities
- Ability to operate credibly with senior stakeholders including CIOs, portfolio managers, investment committees and founders
- Experience managing or mentoring teams is advantageous
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help build and shape a growing business platform
- Excellent communication, relationship management and commercial negotiation skills
- Aligned to the culture of the business and thinks and acts in a collegiate way
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous
