Job Description
A well-established national not for profit is seeking a highly capable and proactive Chief of Staff to work closely with a newly appointed CEO during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to become a true strategic partner to the CEO – acting as a trusted right hand, driving priorities forward, anticipating needs, and ensuring accountability across senior leadership teams.
The successful candidate will bring confidence, gravitas, and the ability to constructively challenge senior stakeholders while operating with absolute professionalism and discretion.
Please note, this is initially a 3-month contract, to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an extension of the CEO, supporting strategic priorities and organisational effectiveness
- Drive follow-through and accountability following executive and leadership meetings
- Prepare high-quality board papers, briefing documents, and executive communications
- Support decision-making by bringing structure to complex or ambiguous challenges
- Manage and coordinate multiple high-profile projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Improve communication flow and leadership consistency across the organisation
- Lead and manage a small team of Executive Assistants
- Support senior leadership meetings and wider leadership forums across the organisation
About You
- A highly articulate communicator, able to distil complex discussions into clear and actionable outcomes
- Exceptionally strong in stakeholder management and relationship building
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Experienced in supporting board-level or executive leadership teams
- Solutions-focused, proactive, and commercially minded
- Confident using a range of IT platforms and collaboration tools
- Experienced in organisational change, transformation, or scaling environments
- Highly discreet, professional, and trusted with confidential information
