What’s unique about this role? The Associate Senior Review Manager plays a pivotal role within the organisation, supporting senior MDR leadership in delivering the strategic vision for the EMEA Managed Review delivery engine. Working in close partnership with the senior leadership team, this role ensures an efficient, accurate, and agile delivery model, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and the practical implementation of innovation.

Responsibilities

What will this person do? This is a temporary fixed term position – 9 months.

  • Strategy & Leadership: Support the delivery and communication of the Lighthouse Managed Document Review vision and approach.
  • Assist in implementing managed review strategies in line with organisational objectives, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best operational practices.
  • Act as a day-to-day client contact for allocated matters, supporting senior team members in the delivery of search, analytics, and review workflows, and ensuring client instructions are accurately implemented.
  • Escalate strategic, technical, or client-related issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of assigned workstreams.
  • Operations: Implement project specific workflows for substantive review in collaboration with the senior MDR team.
  • Oversee both the technical and legal aspects of the quality control (QC) process, including QC workflow design, validation of review decisions, consistency checks, progress reporting, and the delivery of detailed performance feedback.
  • Provide real-time, matter-specific guidance and support to review teams.
  • Manage and take ownership of the query resolution process.
  • Support the setup and administration of review projects, including collaborating with Client Services on workspace configuration, facilitating access to Remote Desktop environments, and providing additional administrative support as required.
  • Assist with daily and weekly project specific timekeeping processes.
  • Utilise Relativity to generate and distribute daily project metrics for both internal and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Participate in project scoping and kickoff calls where requested, manage follow-up actions, liaise with clients to confirm instructions, provide updates, and respond to ad hoc requests.

Required qualifications and attributes

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification of an LLB.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working on large-scale legal document reviews, both as a document reviewer and in a management capacity.
  • Working knowledge of the Relativity platform, including the ability to navigate workspaces, run searches, generate basic reports, and support review workflows (expert level proficiency not required).
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in professional email correspondence and accurate note-taking.
  • The flexibility and adaptability to manage a dynamic and evolving workload.
  • The ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.

Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
