Job Overview

At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. Through volunteering as an Emergency Responder, you’ll deliver essential first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community and major events in your areas, including sporting events, concerts and community festivals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community events.
  • Respond to emergencies at sporting events, concerts and community festivals.

Training & Induction

Induction and role‑specific training will be provided. Selected volunteers will attend the Welcome Event (Induction) at the Exeter Hub between 07/05/2026 and 21/05/2026, and further training sessions as necessary.
