Role Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your role will include assessing and understanding project requirements, undertaking mechanical design across a number of disciplines and agreeing timescales and specifications with design teams, clients and managers. Leading and directing junior staff, you will be actively involved in the preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments as well as interpreting commercial and/or contractual aspects of correspondence with or between fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the delivery of assigned mechanical and building services elements of multidisciplinary projects across a range of sectors including Built Environment, Water, Transport, and Advisory.
- Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects.
- Dealing with and managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Carrying out design and calculation work using relevant industry software (IES, Revit etc).
- Demonstrating technical expertise, providing in depth knowledge whilst proactively coaching and developing more junior team members.
- Developing, maintaining and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables across specific projects.
- Maximising profitability of projects, monitoring against budget, reacting and anticipating potential problems and communicating in line with client expectations.

Candidate Specification
- Essential:
- B.Eng / M.Eng
- Chartered Engineer
- Have experience of leading on Mechanical services and some multidisciplinary projects
- Have experience of mentoring and leading graduate engineers
- Be enthusiastic and ambitious
- Possess excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation
- Have the ability to lead electrical elements of one large project or a portfolio of smaller projects
- Have some experience of managing client relationships and expectations as there will be a requirement to attend Client Facing meetings via Teams
