Location: Greater Manchester / North West England

Salary: £40,000

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing environmental consultancy for anArboricultural Surveyor / Consultantto join their expanding team covering Greater Manchester and the wider North West region.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand across public and private sector projects, our client is seeking motivated arboricultural professionals at various levels to support the delivery of Health & Safety tree inspections and tree risk management services.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy working across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake tree inspections and support tree-related risk management activities for public and privately owned tree stock, using handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology.

The role will involve both site-based and office-based work, with opportunities to work alongside experienced arboricultural professionals within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake tree inspections for public and private sector clients
  • Carry out tree risk assessments and identify required tree works
  • Utilise handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology for surveys and mapping
  • Support the management of public and privately owned tree stock
  • Respond to client queries and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ensure work complies with British Standards and relevant legislation
  • Complete and adhere to risk assessments and Health & Safety procedures
  • Liaise with colleagues, clients, contractors, and local authority officers

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working within an arboricultural environment
  • Experience undertaking tree inspections and risk assessments
  • Arboricultural qualification or equivalent industry experience
  • Willingness to undertake further arboricultural training/qualifications
  • Experience attending meetings and liaising with clients
  • IT proficiency including Microsoft Office, Excel, and handheld survey technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to working across various locations
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills

  • CAD experience
  • GIS proficiency
  • Knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs)
  • Understanding of arboricultural legislation and the planning system
