You’ll make an impact by:

  • Responsibility for the strategy, roadmap and lifecycle for Middleware, Infrastructure, Automation and Collaboration products.
  • Drive modernisation, decommissioning of legacy platforms and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Manage product performance, security, upgrades, patching and continuous improvement.
  • Lead prioritisation and backlog management with vendor delivery teams.
  • Support major programmes requiring Middleware, Automation or Collaboration capabilities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across CIO and the business to translate needs into product requirements.
  • Take responsibility for vendor relationships, contracts and capability evaluations.
  • Oversee product budgets, cost optimisation and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, security and resilience risks.

Your skills and experience:

  • Deep knowledge of Middleware platforms (WebSphere, IIS, BizTalk) and SFTP (e.g., Globalscape).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (event correlation, AI‑driven automation, scripting).
  • Significant experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and integrations with service platforms.
  • Ability to design, configure, tune and troubleshoot middleware and related services.
  • Understanding of authentication, encryption and secure data flow.
  • Experience working in large matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
  • An innovative mindset — comfortable questioning the status quo.
  • Experience of delivering results in fast‑moving, evolving environments.
