We are seeking an experienced HR Systems & Data Advisor to support our busy HR team during a period of high workload and multiple ongoing projects. This role requires a technically confident, proactive individual who can work autonomously and support both business-as-usual activities and data improvement initiatives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Monitor and maintain HR and academic workload data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Oversee data input by academics and stakeholders, managing deadlines and resolving issues proactively.
  • Troubleshoot complex spreadsheet errors, including broken formulas, deleted cells, and layout issues.
  • Identify recurring system or data issues and recommend improvements to prevent repeat queries.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support operational and strategic HR requirements.
  • Support the HR team with workforce data analysis and business intelligence activity.
  • Assist with reporting deadlines, particularly during peak periods.
  • Support ongoing system and process improvements across HR systems and reporting.
  • Work autonomously during quieter periods, using initiative to identify value-adding activities.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding data issues, outputs, and timelines.
  • Present basic reports or findings in meetings where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in HR systems, HR data, or workforce reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills with confidence troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Experience within the education sector, degree qualified or qualified by relevant experience, experience using Power BI or similar BI tools, comfortable presenting basic data or reports in meetings.
