Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton.

This is a permanent day shift opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience using Fanuc controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in producing work to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls
  • Produce precision-engineered components to specification
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings
  • Monitor machining processes and inspect finished components for quality
  • Make program adjustments and offsets where required
  • Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven CNC programming, setting, and operating experience
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of machining processes and tooling
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience working with milling or turning machinery
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
