Senior Solutions Architect, AWS Private Equity

This role can be based in Amsterdam, Madrid, Munich, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, Zurich, or London.
As a Private Equity Solutions Architect, you will work directly with private‑equity firms, their portfolio companies, and consulting partners to help them adopt new technologies and build new solutions that leverage the cloud. Your role will bring business and technology together, providing thought leadership and advice that drives strategic business outcomes. You will educate stakeholders on cloud possibilities, develop cloud‑native reference architectures, and present publicly at AWS conferences and industry events.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Scope and understand specific use cases to design appropriate AWS‑based technical solutions, including integration with third‑party solutions.
- Own the technical relationship with PE firms and the C‑suite of portfolio companies and operate as their trusted advisor.
- Serve as a key technical member of the AWS PE team, ensuring customer success in architecting, building, migrating, or optimizing applications and services on AWS.
- Build rapport with executives at both PE firms and portfolio companies, leveraging a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, mergers and acquisitions, migration, and cost optimization of IT infrastructure.
- Establish technical credibility with PE firms and portfolio companies to lead discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance and help develop cost‑optimization strategies based on budget constraints.
- Evangelize and educate key stakeholders within the Private Equity ecosystem about AWS technologies.
- Influence AWS’s roadmap of new features and services based on customer feedback.
- Create and capture best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts).
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.
- Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience leading complex, large‑scale IT, technical, or engineering programs.
- Experience working with Private Equity firms, venture capital funds, hedge funds, or investment banking in defining technology strategy or IT implementations/integrations related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience working directly with customers (internal or external) in technical pre‑sales, post‑sales, consulting, or customer support functions.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer relationship management and C‑suite level customer engagement.
- Experience architecting or operating solutions on cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Experience in data science, machine learning, or data mining.
- Knowledge of distributed or enterprise applications.
- Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics, and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences.
