Project Engineer – Fire & Security
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of Fire, Life Safety, and Security projects across our portfolio. This is a varied, site-based role working across multiple projects or dedicated major sites depending on business needs.
Working alongside the Project Management team, you will oversee on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day site activities, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate project documentation
- Review technical drawings, track design changes, and support project scheduling and budgets
- Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and support commissioning of Fire & Security systems
- Support system integration, cable testing, and end‑user training
- Provide technical support to engineers and assist with mentoring junior team members
- Collaborate with project and engineering teams to improve processes and project delivery
- Ensure projects meet company standards and support handover to service teams
About You
- Experience in a similar Project Engineer role or a strong Fire & Security engineering background looking to progress
- Good understanding of Fire, Life Safety, and/or Security systems and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience supervising subcontractors and working within fast‑paced project environments
- Knowledge of system integration across multiple manufacturers is desirable
- First Aid qualification beneficial but not essential
