Job Overview
We are seeking an Application Developer to contribute the design, development, enhancement, and ongoing support of IT systems essential to the laboratory’s accreditation to ISO 17025:2017. The post‑holder will be a member of NDPH Wolfson Laboratories staff, reporting to the LIMS Development Manager, and is expected to work effectively with colleagues in the laboratory and the wider department. In addition to core application development responsibilities, the post‑holder will provide technical advice, troubleshooting, and user support to researchers and laboratory staff.
Qualifications
- Hold a good degree, recognised computing qualification, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in C++ or Java programming language
- Good working knowledge of SQL and relational database design
- Ability to extract and manipulate data to meet set criteria
- Familiar with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), preferably in Microsoft Access and Excel
