Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support the ongoing evolution of an industry leading education platform. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining both backend and frontend systems, ensuring exceptional performance, security, and user experience.

You will work closely with product, operations, and wider stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, while also contributing to testing, documentation, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications
• Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines
• Maintain and improve system architecture and database structures
• 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer or Software Engineer
• Strong backend experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proficient in SQL database design, querying, and optimisation
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and system integrations
• Strong understanding of Git and version control practices
