Location: Telford

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 17:00

Salary: Circa £75,000 per annum

Overview: The role is the number 2 finance officer with one direct report. The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of financial management and ensure that the financial processes, systems and controls, including risk management, operate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Managing transactional team and overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, stock, cash, bank and GL entries.
• Ensuring that financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.
• Maintaining statutory records for the business.
• Company taxation management (VAT, Corporation Tax, Plastic, Waste, Customs and Excise, Class 1a, R&D, CCA).
• Fixed asset and capital allowances.
• Treasury management.
• Liaison with banks, forecasting and MI data submission.
• Budgeting and forecasting (cashflow, balance sheet).
• Liaising with auditors and preparing audited accounts.
• Project management of process changes and implementations.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Other ad‑hoc duties.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA full or part‑qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in operational financial and statutory accounts.
• Advanced MS Office, especially Excel, required.
• Project management experience an advantage.
