Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disability) Careers Event – The State Hospital
The State Hospital is hosting a Registered Nurse Careers Event on:
- Wednesday 10 June 2026, 12:00pm – 3:30pm
The event will be delivered in two parts:
- Introduction Session: An overview of the State Hospital, including insight into working as a Registered Nurse within our organisation, with an opportunity to ask questions.
- Engagement & Interviews: An opportunity to meet our teams within the Wellbeing Centre, enjoy refreshments, and take part in an optional interview.
If you would like to be considered for interview on the day, please complete the application form via the link or QR code. Following review, an interview timeslot will be allocated.
Important Information
Registration is required in advance to gain access to the hospital site. Entry will not be permitted without prior registration.
To register your place, please email tsh.jobs@nhs.scot with:
- Your NMC PIN and date of birth, or
- Your Student ID (if not yet registered with the NMC)
Interview spaces are limited, and early application is encouraged. If you are no longer able to attend, please advise us so your place can be offered to another candidate.
Positions Available
We have a number of permanent Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disability) vacancies available within the State Hospital, offering a range of contracted hours.
Requirements
- Be registered with the NMC in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing, or
- Be working towards (completion in 2026) NMC registration in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing.
Please be aware that successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory two week induction on either the 17 August 2026 or 19 October 2026.
The State Hospital is NOT licensed to issue certificates of sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. It is essential that you confirm your right to work before applying.
