You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Peterborough, responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
Senior Planner – Responsibilities
- Work with delivery team and SME’s to translate their proposals and methodologies into a project programme.
- Challenge outputs and logic to develop reliable programmes that can be delivered safely, efficiently and reliably while meeting all requirements of Skanska and our customers planning standards.
- Assist in maintaining and updating main project programme, performance indicators and progress records, deliver collaborative planning and short‑term programmes and prepare programme submission documents.
- Review suppliers’ programmes for compliance with our requirements.
- Work with project team and suppliers to produce and maintain collaborative look‑ahead programmes that align with the main programme.
Qualifications
- Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
- Understanding of various forms of construction documents, contracts and specifications.
- Experience in both design and construction phase planning ideally whilst working for a construction contractor.
- Understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
- Relevant CSCS Card.
- Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering is preferred.
