In Q1/Q2 2025, we’re seeking talented Mechanical & Electrical individuals in the South East to join our Building Services business unit. What you’ll be doing
- Engage with subcontractors at all stages from ITT to final commissioning and handover.
- Ensure subcontract packages meet programme, budget, safety and quality expectations/standards.
- Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.
- Ensure the package is executed with minimum rework.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with the M&E control sheet, including RFIs, CE’s, EWN’s, WPPs, ITPs, record drawings and other project communications.
- Update communication trackers across platforms, including self‑generated registers.
- Plan and organise plant, access, labour and materials in accordance with appropriate interfaces, including procurement activities relevant to a package.
- Review relevant RIBA 4/5 design deliverables for accuracy and fit for purpose prior to works commencement.
- Produce and review WPP and ITP, contextualising quality assurance mechanisms four weeks prior to works start.
- Produce technical input SoW in accordance with relevant QS, suitable for an ITT.
- Identify risks to the Project Management team and raise appropriate EWNs.
- Monitor supply chain performance against planned activities and escalated issues as required.
- Draft site instructions for review and issue by the Project Management team, detailing works, location, programme impact, cost impact and client‑led change events.
- Adhere to BB policy/procedure and contract details, and maintain proficiency in platforms such as BC, completing required training.
- Support the QA function by completing tours and quality check‑sheet reviews for the relevant package of works.
- Manage time, complete daily diaries and contribute to other reporting formats.
Who we’re looking for
- Suitably qualified and experienced within the Building Services and Construction Industry.
- Hold the relevant ECS/CSCS card and SMSTS.
- Knowledge of Defence M&E Specifications.
- High integrity and commitment to meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
- Leadership skills in development.
- Actively pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE, IHT).
