Our growing In-House Maintenance Team is seeking an experienced, customer-focused supervisor to join us as a Disrepair Supervisor, to support the effective management of a multi-disciplined team of trade operatives, contractors and self-employed operatives. This is a great opportunity for a motivated people leader with a proven track record of driving team performance and improvement.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring our tenants homes are well maintained and remain places they are proud to call home. You will be joining a class-leading in-house repairs service, supervising a team of operatives and ensuring Midland Heart's professional standards are maintained on the front-line.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supervise a team of Trade Operatives and sub-contractors as they carry out disrepair and Damp & Mould works in tenanted properties.
- Lead and motivate the team to and ensure a high standard of repairs are maintained whilst adhering to excellent health & safety standards in our homes.
- Complete post inspections of works to ensure everything is completed according to specification and is contractually compliant.
- To complete regular 1:1's and performance reviews to ensure individuals provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other business functions to implement data-driven improvements, always seeking to provide the best all-round service for our tenants.
Our ideal candidate? Your application will demonstrate the following:
- A relevant qualification in a building related discipline or site management or equivalent knowledge as demonstrated through a track record of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory and team management experience in a repairs and maintenance setting.
- Construction knowledge or experience, including Health & Safety legislation & CDM Regulations.
- Experience managing budgets alongside the associated financial administration.
