What you’ll be doing

You’ll take a lead role in shaping capability across Business Banking, using your experience and judgement to deliver learning that makes a genuine performance difference.

Additionally, you’ll lead end‑to‑end learning solutions at scale, owning the full learning cycle from robust training needs analysis through design, delivery, and evaluation—with clear line of sight to customer outcomes, colleague performance, and team goals.

By building colleague capability in a changing environment, you’ll support transformation and help the business grow by equipping colleagues with the skills and confidence they need to do their job.

You’ll design and deliver high‑quality learning experiences, using learning management systems and digital tools to create engaging, accessible content for diverse audiences. It will be your responsibility to develop and maintain regulatory and role‑specific training, ensuring colleagues meet required standards and safeguarding our customers, colleagues, and business.

You’ll act as a trusted learning expert, providing clear, credible guidance to leaders at all levels on learning approaches that enhance capability and improve performance, while working closely with senior and mid‑level stakeholders and subject matter experts to influence priorities and deliver solutions that uplift people performance and support positive Culture Survey outcomes.

About you

Minimum requirements:

  • Extensive experience within a high‑performing learning function, with exposure to complex, large‑scale or regulated environments.
  • A demonstrable track record across the full learning lifecycle, consistently delivering impactful solutions from diagnosis through to evaluation.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders, confidently influencing decisions and leading learning projects to successful outcomes.
  • A well‑established growth mindset, underpinned by curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A bias for delivery, with evidence of working at pace, managing competing priorities and landing high‑quality outcomes consistently.
