Health & Safety Manager

Location: Central Scotland

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Company Car + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established and growing building services business.

This is a key position within the organisation, offering the chance to take ownership of health, safety, and compliance across both office and operational environments, while playing a pivotal role in shaping and driving a strong safety culture.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the company's HSE function, ensuring full compliance with legislation while continuously improving standards across the business.

  • Managing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 systems
  • Leading internal and external audits
  • Providing expert HSE advice across all levels of the business
  • Driving a positive safety culture and improving engagement
  • Conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Reviewing and developing policies, procedures, and systems
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and compliance checks
  • Delivering training and toolbox talks
  • Supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence

About You

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and compliance systems
  • Experience working within engineering, M&E, FM or industrial environments
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A hands‑on approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • IOSH (or working towards)
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001) advantageous
