Overview
Join our Birmingham campus team as a Campus Hub Officer — where great service meets student life. Our Campus Hub Officers are responsible for delivering a welcoming and supportive student service through the Campus Hub, whilst coordinating events and activities that enhance the student experience and connect students with the university community. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient running of the campus by working with the wider operational teams within the University to ensure that a first-class service is provided to all customers.
Responsibilities
- Support the Campus Hub Manager with events coordination (room bookings, catering, suppliers, risk assessments, set up, greeting students, registration)
- Assist with in-person student enrolment and registration management (including late starters) and issue ID cards, delivering a positive welcome experience for all students
- Accurately triage and escalate any complex or personal support queries in line with the service management framework
- Help to promote and deliver on-campus activities and events including student inductions, welcome fairs, freshers’ fairs, workshops, information sessions and on-campus assessments
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience providing frontline customer service or student support, ideally in a higher education or service environment
- Understanding of excellent customer service principles and the importance of a welcoming, inclusive student experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain information clearly and courteously to students and colleagues
- Experience handling face-to-face enquiries, ensuring professional and efficient resolution
- Ability to use initiative and problem-solve within established procedures, escalating appropriately when required
Role Details
- On-campus role with no opportunity for hybrid/remote working
- From time to time, may require work up to 6pm Monday–Friday and occasional weekend work (Saturdays or Sundays) in line with business needs
