M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

A multi million pound turnover M&E contractor enjoying continued success seeks the solid appointment of a talented and skilled QS / Quantity Surveyor to join their highly stable and reputable organisation.

This award winning contractor covers multiple schemes from high end residential through to commercial and industrial based projects.

Responsibilities

• Track both internal and external costs on each job from handover right through to final account sign off.
• Review multiple levels of contract documentation and have a strong understanding of tender information and tender bills of quantities (BOQ’s).
• Prepare cost plans in line with commercial SOP’s and report on cost plans highlighting any potential issues.
• Procure major suppliers and sub‑contractor packages; prepare monthly interim valuations and variations for clients.
• Prepare contract documents for sub‑contractors and issue all main contract documents / collateral warranties up the line for review.
• Audit sub‑contractors for payment and any valuations as expected, and upload variations to the dedicated ERP system.
• Maintain confident and knowledgeable QS practices while searching for continuous perfection and implementing further educated methods.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience – early or progressive career stages are welcome.
• Preferably from an M&E / Mechanical & Electrical Services / Building Services background; construction background is acceptable if a quick learning curve can be demonstrated.
• Strong commercial acumen, integrity, and an approachable attitude.
