If you have a proven track record in B2B SaaS sales, and are comfortable with cold prospecting and AI-powered selling, this is an exciting opportunity to drive growth in a scale-up backed by US venture capital.

The organisation is in an exciting growth phase, expanding its product suite through innovation and strategic acquisitions, and is backed by experienced US venture capital investors. They foster a culture of autonomy, accountability and commercial excellence, attracting self-directed professionals who are curious, resilient and entrepreneurial.

Position Overview

As Business Development Manager, you’ll independently build and manage a pipeline of new prospects whilst identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts. You’ll conduct structured research on target businesses using AI tools to map revenue pain points, engage across the full ecosystem (Marketing, Sales and Aftersales Directors), and lead discovery calls and on-site meetings to qualify opportunities. This role is central to the company’s growth strategy, combining new business development with account expansion to drive recurring revenue and strengthen relationships across the UK network.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a prospect pipeline through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, trade events and referrals
  • Conduct AI-powered research on target dealers to identify stakeholders, analyse profiles and tailor pitches based on revenue pain points
  • Engage across the full dealer ecosystem to position solutions as revenue-generating tools for marketing, sales and aftersales operations
  • Conduct discovery calls and on-site meetings to qualify opportunities and understand customer needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle independently from first contact through contract execution, meeting annual quota.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and partner with field consultants to monitor performance
  • Lead sales conversations using value and ROI frameworks, quantifying revenue impact with data and case studies
  • Use AI tools for prospect research, stakeholder intelligence, pitch preparation and competitive analysis
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in HubSpot and provide reliable forecast reporting
  • Build and nurture relationships across multiple buyer roles within existing and new accounts

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience within the automotive/dealership saas sector
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a self-directed sales environment
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle independently, including cold prospecting through close
  • Experience selling on value and ROI, with ability to build and present business cases using data and financial models
  • Knowledge of automotive aftersales operations, DMS systems and aftersales KPIs (desirable but not essential)
  • Established UK automotive dealer network, particularly across aftersales, service and marketing functions (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional context for research, pitch development or sales preparation
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or comparable CRM, with discipline around data hygiene and pipeline accuracy
  • Comfort managing both cold outreach to new prospects and expansion selling simultaneously
  • Self-directed, accountable, consultative, commercially sharp, resilient and patient mindset
  • Collaborative, curious and coachable approach to work and continuous learning
  • Technologically fluent with willingness to embed AI into daily workflow
  • Entrepreneurial outlook with ability to thrive in a scale-up environment
  • Competitive base salary with on-target earnings up to £100k+
  • Employer pension contribution of up to 6%
  • Private Medical Insurance

Alongside this competitive benefits package, you’ll join a high-autonomy environment where self-directed professionals thrive. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, commercially sharp team that values curiosity, resilience and accountability, with clear progression pathways as the business scales. This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact in a fast-growing scale-up backed by experienced investors.
