Business Development | London (Hybrid)
A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Events Manager to lead its high-performing events function on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This role has responsibility for a busy, firm-wide events programme, including flagship client events, conferences and an annual partners' conference. The Senior Events Manager will personally lead on complex, high-profile events while overseeing delivery across multiple practice areas and supporting international offices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a firm-wide events strategy and annual calendar aligned to BD objectives
- Acting as senior adviser to partners on event strategy, format and ROI
- Overseeing high-profile client events, conferences and launches
- Managing and developing the events team, setting priorities and standards
- Owning key supplier and venue relationships and negotiating best terms
- Managing programme-level budgets and measuring event impact
- Embedding best practice, innovation and sustainability across the events programme
- Ensuring effective use of CRM and data for targeting, follow-up and reporting
About the candidate:
- Extensive experience delivering complex B2B or professional services events
- Proven ability to align events with client development and commercial objectives
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and advising at partner level
- Strong people leadership and programme management skills
- Commercially minded with experience managing significant budgets
- Calm, credible and solutions-focused under pressure
