About the role

The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bath is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer (Education Specialist) in Engineering and Design to deliver high quality teaching and drive continuous improvement in our educational portfolio. We are looking for an outstanding educator to enhance our teaching, join an expanding and ambitious department, and to shape the students of the future in a vibrant and inclusive environment.

About you

The successful applicant will have a strong track record and background in Engineering and Design with a passion for project-based learning at all course levels and a willingness and versatility to lead skills-based assessment that encompasses technical and transferable skills such as sustainability, business, regulations, management etc. 

You will hold a PhD and an undergraduate degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or a closely related subject. Through your teaching, you will be passionate about addressing the global challenges and educating the next generation of engineers. This role will suit you if you

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive environment;
  • Can demonstrate a clear fit to the Department’s profile and a strong alignment to innovation in education.
  • Are passionate about teaching and have the ability and flexibility to teach a wide range of electronic and electrical engineering subjects at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels and ideally the application of cutting edge technology such as artificial intelligence;
  • Have a growing record or pedagogical publications and international reputation appropriate to your career stage.

Further information

This is a full time role (36.5 hours per week) with a proposed start date from July 2026.
