Job Description:

Senior Process Engineer – Water / Wastewater Falmer (Hybrid + site travel) Up to £70k + package (flexible depending on experience)

We’re working with a major UK utilities provider delivering long-term investment across water and wastewater infrastructure, with a strong focus on performance, compliance, and environmental improvement.

They’re looking to bring in a Senior Process Engineer to play a key role across both design and operational optimisation projects.

The Role This isn’t purely a design role and it’s not purely operational. It sits in the middle. You’ll be involved in: Developing and reviewing process designs for water and wastewater treatment Producing key deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations Supporting site performance through troubleshooting and optimisation work Working closely with operational teams to improve efficiency and compliance Contributing to capital projects across treatment works You’ll have real visibility across both engineering and operations, rather than being siloed.

What They’re Looking For Background in process or chemical engineering Experience within water or wastewater treatment (essential) Strong understanding of process design and documentation Experience supporting commissioning, optimisation, or site performance Comfortable working across both office-based and site environments Chartered status or working towards it is beneficial, but not essential.
