Role: Coating Process Engineer Location: Day Shift : 8am – 5pm (12.30pm finish on Friday)

To provide competent inspection and quality surveillance of surface preparation and applications. Act as Coating Specialist on production methods Solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors Review and interpret client and project coating specifications Inspect coating application activities and verify compliance with approved procedures Measure and record wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and photographic evidence Support final acceptance, handover documentation and coating dossiers Accept or reject surface preparation and coating work. Stop work where quality, safety, or specification compliance is compromised. Sign off inspection and acceptance documentation within agreed limits of authority.
Experience in surface treatment and coating inspection. Demonstrable experience inspecting industrial coating systems on steel and/or metallic substrates. Produce clear, accurate, and timely inspection reports. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, applicators, and project teams. Escalate quality or technical concerns in a professional and timely manner.
