Are you a warm, patient, and adaptable person who wants to make a real difference in someone’s life? We’re looking for a Communicator Guide to join Sense in Wrexham, supporting an individual in their community across Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
As a Communicator Guide, you’ll act as the eyes and ears of the person you support; helping them navigate everyday life, access local services, and stay connected to their community. This is a hands-on, out-and-about role where no two days look quite the same.
What you’ll do:

- Facilitate communication, helping them make sense of their environment and interact with the world around them
- Assist with everyday practical tasks and help maintain their independence
- Keep accurate records and follow person-centred plans and guidelines
You’ll need to be confident working independently, good with children, and comfortable around dogs. As the role involves driving the individual’s mobility car, applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.
Who we’re looking for:
You don’t need formal qualifications, what matters most is your values and your willingness to learn. We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a caring or support role (paid, voluntary, or personal)
- Can communicate flexibly and adapt their approach to suit the person they’re supporting
- Is able to travel within the community during working hours
- Is happy to work towards Sense’s Communicator Guide training
