Field Engineer Jobs | Telematics | HGV | Vehicle Electronics | South West M5 Corridor
GTS is working with a leading provider of vehicle technology solutions across the HGV, LCV, Bus & Coach sectors , delivering cutting-edge systems including telematics, CCTV, safety systems, and bespoke vehicle integrations . Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Field Engineer to support installations, maintenance, and fault finding across client sites in the South West (M5 Corridor).
As a Field Engineer (Telematics & Vehicle Systems) , you’ll be hands-on with a wide range of vehicle technologies, including: Installation of telematics systems (J1939, J1708, FMS, CANbus, CANcliq) Wiring & tracking installations across 12V & 24V systems (cars, vans, HGVs, trailers) Fitting CCTV systems (dashcams + multi-channel up to 12 cameras) Installation of vehicle safety systems (DVS, ADAS, AI cameras, breathalock / Alcolock) Working with temperature monitoring systems (Transcan, multi-probe setups) Installing in-cab driver tech (tablets, mounts, driver monitoring systems) Completing tacho integrations & remote downloads Supporting specialist installs such as Suzi connections
Proven experience as a Field Engineer / Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician Experience with CANbus, telematics, CCTV, or vehicle safety systems Confident with fault finding & diagnostics in the field Full UK driving licence
